Excited to be included in tonight's screening at CAA in Los Angeles.
Some behind the scenes movie magic! The making of our stop motion ocean began by hand sculpting these twisted rods out of clay and casting them in dyed urethane. In building out the set, it's hard to imagine that this would come together, but here's a little preview of what the camera will see... Stay tuned for the real beauty in Nick's test animation! We had the help of the very talented Matt Chappell (http://mattchappell.com/), Emily Martinez (http://cargocollective.com/ecm/About), and Maura Takeshita (www.mauratakeshita.com) on getting all of these elements together. From the prop archives. We are excited to move Pox Films into it's new home in North Hollywood, California. We are just about settled in and are hitting the ground running on our new project. Write us via our contact page if you'd like to stop by for a visit!

While continuing to promote Ring Around the Mulberry Bush we're excited to announce that we've begun production on our next project. If you were intrigued by the site of the cigar smoking cat at the beginning of our last piece you'll love this vignette about Walter. We'll follow the fall of this half man half feline in a life that is more like a reoccurring nightmare that lands him in the penitentiary time after time. We've signed on talented set, costume, and prop designers to help us tackle this project and expand the world of Pox Films Inc. If you're interested in being a part of the project please write via our contact page. We look forward to sharing progress along the way! Here's the trailer for Ring Around the Mulberry Bush! Share an evening with Lilly and Ruby in this scene from the the upcoming feature film. Screening dates of the whole short to follow! Send us a message for more info.
The first installment of our feature film Plush, animated short film Ring Around the Mulberry Bush is now complete and has made it's debut at the RedCat Theater in downtown Los Angeles! Check back for more news and screening dates to come!
Made possible by our Kickstarter backers, CalArts faculty, and fellow students in the Experimental Animation program. Ring Around the Mulberry Bush is the short film debuting Lily and Ruby from the upcoming feature film PLUSH. Here Nick animates Lily entering her bedroom. The set has been built out with hand sculpted furnishings and details. Her wardrobe has been designed and tailored to the body of the puppet. To be released this summer with screenings in New York and Los Angeles. Stay tuned.
A big thanks to the generosity of 151 backers on Kickstarter who've successfully funded our film PLUSH! We've been hard at work on this project and are excited to share our continued progress along the way. See behind behind the scenes development of puppets and sets as well as production stills from the wee hours of the morning.
